Our 2024 Open category judge: Lochy Cupit

Lochy Cupit is a published author and professional content writer, with more than 14 years of ministry experience working with youth and creative arts. He has degrees in Computer Science, Multimedia, Theology, and a Masters degree in Creative Writing.

He co-hosted a monthly one-hour radio segment on Life FM for five years, addressing tough issues and difficult questions for youth. He currently co-hosts the “Art of Ministry” podcast, talking about how faith and the arts meet and overlap in different creative fields.
Lochy’s travelled to Japan, Singapore, Lebanon, Fiji, Syria, Malaysia, and Jordan, and done home renovations in Palestinean refugee camps. He’s been the speaker on youth camps, run conference seminars, lead camps for at-risk youth, and performed live for audiences of more than a thousand people.
This is his first time judging for Stories of Life, specifically in the Open category of 1500 words or less. Lochy lives in southern Adelaide with his wife, two very energetic boys, and two highly entertaining chickens.
